Life is Good

It seems like time flies by. It is hard to believe that E is 2 months old. K is still trying to pick her up on her own. K thinks that E is her toy to play with. Although we are trying to teach her that she can't touch E all the time. We tell her to not touch a happy baby in hopes that she'll leave her sister alone a little more. Needless to say K understands the concept because if D or I pick up E or play with her a little, K has to tell us "don't touch a happy baby"..."E is happy...don't touch her." K is a chatty little thing....she chats up a storm at home but then we go out in public and she is quiet as a mouse.

Since having E, K feels like she is left out sometimes...so she and I had a girls night on Saturday and it was a lot of fun. I asked her if she wanted to do another girls night again and she said yes but she wanted to do it with her aunt A and cousin D (who is a girl) next time along with her uncle J, cousin C(who is a boy) and dad...so the girl night concept didn't go over so well. But we had fun. We went out to dinner and then went and got some plastic tubs to organize her room.

Greetings

Hello all! I am still getting the hang of blogging....We are busy with Cross country and taking care of our two girls. I have to say that E slept through the night for the first time last night! I am so excited. I actually slept in my bed for 7 hours straight! K is a wild woman....she loves to run and it has been rainy for the last couple of days and she is just going nuts with not being able to run outside or jump on her trampoline. I took her to go play inside at the mall where they have giant breakfast food things to play on. So hopefully some of that energy is going to be released.

We have started to try and potty train K and it has been an interesting journey. She knows that she has gone in her pants but can't seem to get the "tell mom I have to go" before she goes. She so badly wants to wear big girl underwear but after wetting through a few pairs....she decided she wanted the diaper back on. We'll try again soon.

E is growing like a weed. She weighs almost 10 pounds and is trying to smile at everyone. She is such a pleasant little girl although she likes to cat nap during the day instead of give me a good nap. If you hold her she could sleep for an hour and half..the little stinker. K likes to help me out a lot with taking care of E. She likes to tell me when E is crying....as if I couldn't hear her myself. :)

September 11, 2006

Hello all! this is a new thing for me....I thought that I would start a blog for people to catch up on the H family. I figured it was easier for me to update a blog instead of trying to email everyone.

We are doing well. D has gone back to school. It has been great to have him home for the summer. K especially misses her dad during the day. We have lots of fun together but not nearly as active since having E. E is doing well. She is adjusting to having her sister give her lots of kisses. K just loves her sister and wants to hold her, pick her up, hug her, kiss her, try to play with her, and just sit next to her. She thinks that E is like her baby doll and can't figure out why mom tells her to be gentle and not to pick her up without help. She's learning though and is a HUGE help when I need something and can't get up to get it. I am slowly adjusting to having two kids. I enjoy it.

D has his XC team and they are doing fairly well. They just had a meet on Saturday and placed 2nd! Congrats to his team. K just loves to go and watch "the boys run". We went to one of the practices before school started and it was at a park with a playground there. We didn't play on the play ground...we had to stand by the path where the guys were doing their laps and watch them run. She said, "we stand here and watch the boys run...ok?!" I asked her several times if she wanted to go and play and promptly told me no...she had to watch the boys run. We may have a runner yet.
