New pic of the girls

E received this outfit from a lady at church.

Here are my two beautiful girls

Memorial Day

We spent a great day just relaxing and hanging out. We went to my sister in law's parents house to go swimming. It's where we go just about every monday during the summer. We hung out with all the families that tend to go. It was nice weather and the pool was heated. D is the one that got in the pool with K. She can swim by herself with floaties on! She just thinks that she is the coolest thing. Now if only we can get her to put her face in the water.

Are you serious?!

Ok...Uncle T was outside working on a project and K wanted to watch him but the saw was too loud for her. She wanted ear things like Uncle T had but I didn't have any to give her so I had given her one of my hats. Well that wasn't good enough for her so she went and found her hat and once she had the hat on she had to have a scarf to go with it because she said that she was cold.......well it was 90 Degrees out but she was sitting there with her hat and scarf on. She sat there for probably about a half hour...what a silly girl.

My girls hanging out

Isn't she cute?!

K at the zoo looking a little goat. The goats just loved to jump on you.

Our life as it is.

It has been a little bit since I have written and updated you....We seem to be busy but yet I don't know how. D gives me a hard time that when I say that I am a stay at home mom, that it doesn't mean stay at home. I think that I will give you an idea of how we fill our week.

Mondays --- this is the day that we typically go to play group. There are about 10 moms that come on a regular basis. We rotate houses each week. D calls this moms group and it isn't really for the kids to play together. He happened to be home one time when it was at our house and he says...never again...too many kids and chaos. He asked me after it was over...."you do this every week?"...I responded by saying "Yes! isn't it great?!"

Tuesdays --- I have been watching a boy for one of my friends so that she can get some things done that she needs to do for their business as well as for an organization that she has going on. K and C play well together. He just adores her and does everything that she does.

Wednesdays --- I have a Bible study with a group of women from my church. We usually have it during the school year but this years group bonded so much that we have continued through out the summer.

Thursdays --- time to grocery shop or visit some other friends or go to the park or errands

Fridays --- just hang out around the house, do laundry, jump on the trampoline, ride bikes, or draw on the driveway with chalk, or errands that didn't get done.

The weekends seem to fill up with various things..and evenings seem to fill up with track, small group, different other things that seem to occupy our lives. I was just looking at our calendar for the summer and it filled up fast with stuff on the weekends. D is going to be home for the summer and K is looking forward to that. We have a Zoo membership and will be going a lot. We just went for the opening exhibits of the sharks and sting rays. Well...for those of you that wondered what we have been up to that gives you and idea.

I still have been running but not as much but I need to since I will be running another 5K on June 16th. I need to get back in the swing of things but with kids being sick and just being plain tired but I guess I am just making excuses.

5K run pics

I think that this is when I have about a quarter of a mile to go and I am rounding the corner.

I got boxed in at the end...I wanted to go faster but no such luck.

My 5K race!

Well...I had my 5 K race this past weekend...It was a great day to be running...It was in the 50's when we first started...I must say running with over 4,000 people in a race is overwhelming. I had 3 goals.

1. to finish the race
2. to not finish last
3. to finish under 30 minutes

They lined you up according to how fast you think that you can run per mile...I started in the 9-10 minute mile (which would coincide with my 3rd goal). I must say that there were a lot of people that must have thought that they could run that fast. I was trapped during th first mile...when I ran by the mile marker it said 12 minutes...yikes...I tried to run faster but it was hard because you were always dodging people who stopped and started, those that had started out closer to the start and just didn't make it...I must say that I learned a lot from running this...I plan to run this race again next year...I had lots of fun...Yes I made my three goals..My time was 28 minutes and 16 seconds...I think that I could have run faster if I hadn't been boxed in..but I am happy with my time..It has been a long time since I ran a road race...I must say that I will start towards the beginning of the race next year regardless of whether or not I can run that time..then I won't be boxed in...Dave was there to cheer me on..as well as my bible study group...and a few of my other firends that were there watching other people...it was great to hear them cheer me on! I am going to sign up for a few more races this summer...hopefully my time will improve.

On the Move...
