K...getting Veggie Tales book sitting on Grandma's quilt that she made.






We had a great Christmas with just D, D, K and E in the morning....then we headed over to A, J, D, and C's house to celebrate Christmas with D's brother's family....K..was excited that "Santa" had visited the house...she left a chocolate chip cookie..when asked if she wanted to leave milk or water for Santa, she promptly told me that Santa only wanted 1 cookie....she had to sing Santa songs for 3 weeks before Christmas...I must say...I am not very good at singing Santa songs...I only knew one and singing that one over and over got tiring. We did go shopping before Christmas and it was fun....K was convinced that her uncle J had to have a jar of pickles...after 2 minutes and a few tears in the grocery aisle...She was ok with not getting the jar of pickles. We also were going to buy her dad his gift and since D didn't need anything we decide to get him underwear....K was so proud to pick them out and she carried them to the check out...upon checking out, we discovered that the underwear was being recalled!!!!! (for what I don't know) K wasn't paying too much attention to checking out until she noticed that the underwear didn't get put in the bag. She told the check out lady that those were her daddy's underwear and that her daddy needed them...when told that we couldn't buy them at the time...she burst into tears and said, "but my daddy needs them"...I told her we could go and buy them somewhere else.....we eventually went to target to a couple of other things with D....so K decided she still needed to get daddy his underwear....we found some and went to check out, so we told dad to not look....we stuck them on the belt and K said REALLY LOUD..."Dad, we got your underwear"...the check out lady tried really hard not to laugh but it was really funny...so much for her keeping it a secret.
