Sparkly Princess Shoes

K has wanted a pair of sparkly princess shoes for the last year...every time we would go and buy shoes, she would run over to the sparkly shoes and say..."mom..these are the best shoes, I think that I need these ones"..so she finally has her sparkly princess shoes.  She wears them all around the house and has even taken them to school for show and tell.

Snow Fort in the front yard

We have had a ton of snow lately and our pile at the end of the driveway got to be really big. So D decided to make a snow fort for katy and this is what the first one looked like....












With a window to look at the mailman when he comes to give us mail.......









...then D got an idea in his head and redid the whole fort...so the door was smaller, there were stairs going up the outside to the top.....








....with a second floor!!!! K just loved her snow fort...needless to say the weather got warmer and it isn't safe to be in or climb on but she had fun while it lasted....Dad had several snow days and she had fun with him at home...

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY to K

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can't believe that she is 4 already....my how time flies. She is so much fun to be around...the stories that she tells...she definitely knows what she wants...she loves to play games and "be the boss" to her baby dolls. It is fun to hear here read a book to E....oh the joys of K....

Today has been such a special day for her....it started out with a play date with her friend B....then opening presents from Grandpa and Grandma, where she everytime she opened a present she exclaimed "oh...this is what I wanted, Grandpa and Grandma like me"...She also wanted to go out to dinner at her favorite restaurant....O'Charley's....why that is her favorite we aren't quite sure...D thinks it's because when they do daddy/daughter time out, that's where they go.....we had dinner with some family friends...."grandma B" and her daughters P and M....we missed having "grandpa B" there....Thanks to everyone who made this 4 year feel special and loved today...She had an absolute blast....

Daddy/Daughter time at Preschool

Last week K had Father appreciation night at preschool...She was so excited to go...D took her out to dinner first with just the two of them...then went to school where he received a tie that K made..then unknown to me until later, he took her out for ice cream after...she loved spending all that time with her dad by herself...I didn't realize how little time we have with just her alone...she proceed to ask me the next day..."is it mom and me time? Can we go out to eat and then have ice cream?" I don't think she quite understood that this was a one time special thing...oh well...at least she had fun!

K's strange afternoon sleeping habits

Okay..I had posted pictures of K's sleeping habits during her quiet time...well..I just checked on her right now and I went to open her door and I couldn't...Her head is right in front of the door.  I can barely open the door a half of an inch because she is laying right there.  I am wondering how I am going to wake her now because I  can't get the door open...not very safe...I keep talking to her about blocking her door but she doesn't get it or says..."but why mom"....it is now 4:25 pm and she just fell asleep...hopefully I she won't be too cranky when I try to get her up in a few minutes...Such a silly little girl
